Advanced cross-country glider training is available
in the Southern California area. The HB-23 Motorglider can cruise at 80 knots and can reach several world class soaring sites within an hour or two from the Torrance airport. Some of the locations include Warner Springs, California City, Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez, Palm Springs, Tehachapi, Catalina Island, and Lake Elsinore. Soar in some of the most beautiful places in the world with the safety and comfort that a motorglider provides.

Stay overnight at pleasant hotels in charming areas, and then be able to reach the out of the way soaring sites during the day. Each glider flight instructor will be able to show you around, drive the rental car, and handle all communications in flight and on the ground if your English is not that good. Every detail can be taken care of for you so that you can just enjoy a wonderful holiday!

Perfect your thermal, ridge, and wave soaring skills. With a motorglider it is possible to take full advantage of the whole day without the worries of landing out. The HB-23 is capable of night flight, so returning to the airport can be done after all daylight and lift are gone. An experienced glider instructor will be by your side and help fine tune your flying skills.
